By: Follow South Jersey Staff

NORTHFIELD, N.J. – With new COVID-19 cases continuing to steadily decline along with a reduced demand for vaccinations and boosters, the Atlantic County Division of Public Health is modifying its vaccination clinic schedule.

Beginning Tuesday, March 15, the free vaccination and booster clinics will be available each Tuesday, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in Northfield at 201 S. Shore Road and the first and third Tuesday of each month in Hammonton, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at 310 Bellevue Avenue.

“We are encouraged by the decrease in COVID-19 cases but recognize the virus is still among us. We must now learn to live with it and that includes protecting ourselves with vaccinations and other measures,” Kara Janson, Atlantic County Acting Public Health Director, said in a press release from the county.

Appointments are not necessary. Both sites offer the Johnson & Johnson and Moderna vaccines for residents 18 years and older as well as the Pfizer vaccine for adults and children ages 5 and older. Those seeking booster shots should bring proof of prior vaccinations.
