ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Stockton University’s Carnegie Center in Atlantic City will be an additional site for COVID-19 testing beginning Tuesday, January 25, with a choice of a PCR saliva test or a nasal swab rapid test.
Vault Health is contracted to provide as many as 300 tests each day with lab results within 24-48 hours following testing. The site is funded by the NJ Department of Health with support from Atlantic County, Stockton University, and the City of Atlantic City.
The site will be open Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., for any state resident ages 4 and older. Appointments are not required, but pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Those seeking a PCR test may pre-register at: covid.vlt.co. Those seeking a rapid test may pre-register at swab.vlt.co.
Officials remind residents of the importance of testing as people may have COVID-19 without displaying any symptoms and could therefore have the potential to unknowingly spread the virus. The demand for testing has increased as testing is now required by many employers, educational institutions, those who may be traveling, having medical procedures and more.
With the opening of the sites in Galloway and now Atlantic City, the county closed the drive-thru site in Northfield that it has been operating in collaboration with AtlantiCare as of Friday, January 21. Those who were tested at the site in Northfield may obtain lab results from the LabCorp patient portal at: https://patient.labcorp.com/landing.
Atlantic County also continues to provide free COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters for county residents 18 and older at two county clinics available as follows:
- Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. – 12 noon, at 201 S. Shore Road, Northfield;
- Tuesday only, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., at 310 Bellevue Avenue, Hammonton.
No appointments are necessary. Those seeking booster shots should bring their vaccination cards. Participants have their choice of the Johnson & Johnson or Moderna vaccines for primary doses or boosters. Free annual flu shots are also available.
The Carnegie Center is located at MLK Boulevard and Pacific Avenue.
